UGA SACS Compliance Documents contains approximately 1,100 SACS documents from the 1999-2000 SACS Self Study undertaken by the University of Georgia. They are being made available through GALILEO as a demonstration of the use of electronic documentation for accreditation purposes.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is a private, non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 1895 in Atlanta, Georgia, for the purpose of setting standards and improving education in the colleges and schools of the South. Five other private regional accrediting associations have been established to do similar work in other regions of the United States.
The database now includes some documents that were originally received by GALILEO in electronic format. These PDF documents are fully searchable by using the Adobe Acrobat "find" feature (the binoculars icon).
- Database Provider: Digital Library of Georgia.
