NLM Gateway (National Library of Medicine)
The NLM Gateway allows users to search simultaneously in multiple retrieval systems at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). Resources included in this federated search may be searched individually by clicking on the title of the resource. They include the following:
- MEDLINE/PubMed is an index to approximately 13 million journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine.
- PubMed Guide "Responsible Literature Searching: PubMed" from the Medical College of Georgia
- TOXLINE provides bibliographic information covering the biochemical, pharmacological, physiological, and toxicological effects of drugs and other chemicals.
- MedlinePlus, a web site for consumer health information, includes information on diseases, conditions, and procedures, drug information, and a medical encyclopedia.
- ClinicalTrials.gov provides access to information on clinical trials for a wide range of diseases and conditions.
- HSRProj provides access to ongoing grants and contracts in health services research.
- HSDB is a toxicology data file focused on the toxicology of potentially hazardous chemicals. It is enhanced with information on human exposure, industrial hygiene, emergency handling procedures, environmental fate, regulatory requirements, and related areas.
