The Encyclopedia of Disability provides an introduction to the "definitions, fundamental concepts, basic history, diversity, cultural contexts, experiences, health care issues, environmental constraints, helpful accommodations, social movements, laws and policies, and theories and practices in the disability arena." Entries include bibliographies of further readings. Also included is a chronology of disability and a guide to searching for resources on the web.
