The Encyclopedia of Environment and Society takes an interdisciplinary approach to socioenvironmental issues, from race to rainforests. Authors come from a multitude of disciplines, including political science, chemistry, and anthropology. The encyclopedia surveys the socioenvironmental landscape in 150+ countries, and pays particular attention to different geographical regions of the United States. Entries have bibliographies for further reading. The encyclopedia also includes maps, a guide to resources for further information, a chronology of important socioenvironmental events, a glossary, and an appendix of environmental indicators.
