  • Human Relations Area Files (eHRAF): Archaeology is a Web-based, full-text database of information on prehistory covering ethnographic studies for cultures throughout the world. The mores, cultural, religious, and political customs of each tribe or community is documented by field archaeologists and anthropologists. While the vast majority of the HRAF is on microfiche, material added since 1991 is only available electronically.

    Search Aids: Once in the database, use the Outline of World Cultures and the Outline of Cultural Materials to find the exact vocabulary for traditions and subject codes. Help is available.
